Tansky Trail-building news

For 2009, we have big plans. Through Federal,industry, club, and rider contributions, we plan on doing over $230,000 worth of work here. This will be a great area for Victoria off-road motorcyclists of all skill levels to legally enjoy.

Our trail stewardship projects include:

• We will sign all the trails. The trail #s will correspond with the map, so you can find your way around easier.
• The 10 - 12 km Jr. enduro loop will be finished. This will be great for families, and the loop is designed for small wheeled & novice riders to enjoy.
• A new staging area off JR North Main near the entrance to China Beach.
• Installation of bridging & decking at soft ground areas to reduce ecological impacts
• 30 km of new trail, with emphasis on novice riders
• Refurbishing a number of trails to make them more sustainable and enjoyable to ride

  Trail Builders
  We usually meet at 9am Sundays at the Castle Inn/Restaurant (just over the bridge going into Sooke) for breakfast, then we head out around 10:15 to the off-load area. All are welcome. If you have any questions, call Ken at KenCo Motorcycles, Sooke (250-642-3924)
